   Setting the trend by becoming the first open kitchen buffet whereby guests and clients could clearly view the ‘back stage’ preparations of the restaurant, Mondo Café became not only a hot spot for afternoon business lunches but also a favourite destination and casual meeting point over a quick drink in the city centre. 

​

   The vast digital wall comprising of a dozen golden framed televisions of various sizes turned into a gallery wall or promotion material slide shows by the push of a remote controlled button.

​

   Similarly, the sand blasted glass separation between the kitchen and the café lounge / dining area was also transformed into 3 projectable surfaces used for private presentations and/or image displays by the push of a button when the kitchen was not in operation. 

​

   The simplicity and minimal design itself was highlighted by the clean cut stainless steel kitchen equipment, glossy epoxy concrete self leveling floors and glass ceiling pendant lights, all creating a game of reflections and natural light to the vast emptiness, sparkled by custom made vintage looking furniture and planters.
