   Situated in Evrychou village, within the Nicosia district, this modern residence with traditional architectural elements, was designed as an annex to the existing rehabilitation and renovation of the cottage exactly opposite, also owned by the same client.

 

   This new guest house is to be treated as an extension to the rehabilitated cottage whereby a larger garden with swimming pool was designed to be commonly used by both residences.

 

   The ground floor, consists of an open plan studio / apartment with kitchenette, living, sleeping and en suite wet room area, opening directly to the garden and swimming pool area, with a separate entrance while linked to the upper floor by an internal stairway common to both floors.

 

   Above the studio / apartment via the common stairway another two bedroom apartment with kitchenette, common bathroom and vast terrace orientated directly towards the rehabilitated cottage opposite the street.

 

   The traditional local mountain stone used as the cladding for the ground floor creates an intense contrast with the glossy black aluminium insulated cladding of the first floor, creating what is to become a trend setting mix of rehabilitation, renovation and construction in the Cyprus mountain villages, of which Evrychou volunteers as the pioneer.
