Even though the plot is situated within a sparsely populated surrounding, the residential aspect and factors of the neighbourhood imply that within the near future various residences could be developed.
Hence, the initial concept was to obstruct all possible adjacent incoming views and create a private, natural environment within the plot itself, opening the interior of the house to the garden through large sliding windows and louvred panels, allowing the garden to be felt and seen from the interior areas of the residence.
The ground floor open plan areas (entrance lobby, living, dining and kitchen) have direct garden / pool views extending outwards to a large covered terrace which secures freshness and shade throughout the long and extremely hot summer months.
The upper floor consisting of the bedrooms, acts as the cantilever volume providing the shade to the ground floor outdoor kitchen and barbeque areas adjacent to the swimming pool, part of which is also freshened by the projected shade of the upper floor private bedroom quarters.
Finally, the upper floor ensuite bedrooms / master bedroom extend to private terraces overlooking the garden and pool areas.
Photovoltaic panels along the north side of the pitched roof and high thermal insulation values of the cladding materials selected guarantee low electromechanical consumption.
Last but not least, the aesthetics, choice of materials, colors, vegetation and furniture add to the natural and organic aspect intended.
